Well after a few days of rain it is another sunny, warm day. The rain was nice though, didn't want to have any wildfires start. That would be uberbad.
Not much of interest has happened lately. Found names for all the puppies, they are Battlestar Galactica themed. We have Caprica, Six, Adama and Baltar. That is in addition to the other litter of puppies named after types of fabric, Spandex, Lycra, Nomex, Goretex and Fleece. I will post pictures soon.

Well it is another glorious sunny day here in Alaska... I am inside however working on admission paperwork for UAF. I'm accepted, I just need to make sure they know I want to defer two semesters and start in the fall of 2010. It is very hard to work on it though, you can tell by the fact I am blogging and staring longingly outside, lol.
But I am sure I will have it done soon and get it all wrapped up and squared away. What an interesting expression, "Squared away"... I will have to look it up sometime. I mean, why can't I "circle away" or "rhombus away" something?
Boy you sure can tell I am bored. Speaking of which, I think I made a new word today:D The word is "Legitical". It is a portmanteau of "Legitimate" and "Logical". So help spread the word, quite literally:)

Well I am about to start a little adventure at the end of this week. I start my summer job Friday. It is a pretty easy and fun job. It is a little nerve wracking, like starting any job is, but I think I will manage. Plus, this job is going to help fund my trip so it is another reason to work;)
Speaking of my trip, I am getting quite excited planning for it. I can't wait to see the green hills of Ireland, the lochs of Scotland, the big cities of London, Paris, Dublin and Belfast and all of the history over in Europe...
So if you are reading my blog, feel free to pass it on to someone else. It would be great to have as many people as possible reading and following it. Thanks!

First post
Well...
My first post. It is very ominous and as a result, I have procrastinated about doing it:) I guess I should post my whole aim of this blog. So, without further to do, here we go!
I am just getting ready to graduate from High School with a 4-year academic scholarship for university under my belt. Rather than going straight to the University of Alaska Fairbanks(Go Nanooks!), I have decided to take what is called a "gap year". Basically it means I am delaying school for a year. It is my goal/dream/plan to spend part of that year off traveling around Ireland, the UK and France next spring.
But I have one, teeny, tiny problem/obstacle. Funding. I need a fair amount of funding for my travel, lodgings and anything I want to do while there. Some of the things I would like to do while there is see all the museums, castles and battlefields I can. The reason for this is I love history, its what I want to study at university. So in a way, this is one big educational field trip for me:)
So this is where I need your help. I am already working on saving up for my trip, but I know I will need more. Anything you can donate will be so greatly appreciated. Whether it be 1 dollar, 5 dollars or anything else, every little bit will help.
I will keep updating this blog with tales of my adventures both past, present and future. Being a Jr Dog Musher I have my fair share of stories, from my winning Jr Yukon Quest run to camping trips gone awry when I have gotten lost, I have 6 years of tales:) I also have a wide range of interests and activities that frequently provide me with wonderful fables. I will also post photos and videos when I have them, along with a link to my Twitter.
So please, bookmark my blog, donate if you can, read if you will and most importantly, enjoy:)
